Before I begin, I'd like to say a few words:
This plot has been organized between two people (Me, Clever, and my associate Waffle) for over two months.
It has been hard worked on, and no matter what I hope this role play does not die.
If you participate in this, please don't be lazy, and help me keep it alive.
Think hard about characters...don't just scribble them down.
Invite others you know are good role players.
Have fun.
Weave an excellent plot.
In the future I may actually make this into something. Like an anime. So be unique and enjoy it. I know there's already rules posted up but I just wanted to tell you that in person.
This plot is very intricate so please bare with me. If you have any questions ask me (Clever.)
So, without further a do, here is the plot that you will soon be submerged in, DEEP PARANOIA:
1. Deep Paranoia Explanation. (The Occurrences)-This Chapter will tell you the inciting incident, and the place in which this takes place.
2. What it Does. (The nightmares)- This tells you all about the Nightmares and how to make them and fight them.
3. What People do about it (The long sub-title I'd rather not repeat)- This will tell you about the institution and their handle on things.
4. My partner is a dream (The Dreams)- This will tell you about how dreams are made, what they look like, and how to use them correctly.
5. Where Do you Go In your Sleep? (The Dream Realm)- This will tell you all about where you go to fight the monsters.
6. End- more might be added on later.
It's in a future not to far from now, where the economy is crashing, and people are leaving the country. Scientists are getting desperate for answers, places are abandoned, people are left behind. It's not war, but it seems like it's getting there. The people don't see the horror's that go on when the children of the world start going paranoid.
It just happened all of the sudden, all of these deaths, random occurrences, around children. The children even die themselves sometimes. That's because of the new aura that now surrounds the Earth, the source deeply hidden somewhere secluded. The Deep Paranoia.
These beings look like mutated humans. To give a better description I'd say it's kind of like the creepypasta characters (Jeff the Killer, Slenderman, Eyeless Jack, etc.) but do NOT use any creepypasta characters.
Sadly, most children can only see their own nightmare, and no one else can see it, so no one believes them until it's too late.
Let me give an example:
John is an average boy, but lately, because of the paranoia, he's been too afraid to go anywhere, because his fear became a psychical being. His fear is spoons. The being is a man completely made out of spoons, also linking to the small fear of tall men. His parents don't believe them because they can not see the monster, and John almost gets sent to a mental institution, until his parents are murdered by the spoon man. He tries to fight his monster, but he cannot touch it, and therefore, also dies. Happy ending.

WHAT IT DOES
(The Nightmares)
The Deep Paranoia caused all the, well, paranoia, mostly in children because of their sponge like brains, and how they soak things up easily (not all, just about ten percent of children in the world.) It causes their worst fears to come out of the void of dreams and become psychical beings called Nightmares. They can touch you, but you cannot touch them unless you are in the dream world (I will explain later.)(The Nightmares)
These beings look like mutated humans. To give a better description I'd say it's kind of like the creepypasta characters (Jeff the Killer, Slenderman, Eyeless Jack, etc.) but do NOT use any creepypasta characters.

WHAT PEOPLE DO ABOUT IT
(The Blunt Institution for Troubled Children with Hallucinations)
(Dream Realm)
The dream realm is the true place the nightmare's soul is at, so you can only battle it from the dream realm. The dream realm is but a reflection of our own, always creating new places for people in slumber to show up. In the dream realm, the colors are the opposite of the real world. So, when the sky is a bright blue, in the dream realm it's dark orange. Negative images. Only ones asleep are in the dream realm, so if the child your fighting the monster of isn't asleep, he won't be there to see you take down the nightmare. It'll just disappear in the real world once you've defeated it.
The dream realm also has a knack of giving clues and stirring suspicion. If you'd like to use this to foreshadow, send me a riddle and I will make a piece of paper appear in the dream realm. Anything can happen really.
Sleep Walkers can see other Sleep Walkers in the dream realm.
Nightmares can also kill you in the dream realm. So watch out.
Well, that's all I have to say. I'll probably add on frantically if I've left something out. Oh, and Waffle, do you like this?
Keep coming back and using this as a guide if you're not sure.
At the same time of all the chaos, a certain group of scientists, known as the Blunt's, had researched about dreams. When these occurrences began to happen, they found that some of the children had the gift to see all the monsters. They decided to form a school, and they called it Blunt Institution, where they take these children, and help them get over their fears, and furthermore, hunt down the other nightmares.
The Main men behind it:
Yoshi Okimi (Head scientist-head of experimentation and technology.)
Thomas Feure (Head of institution)
Maybel Gray (side hand of head)
They take children to this big building placed in a secluded area. They are divided into two sections:
~The children who don't have the gift to see others nightmares (Nicknamed: Regulars ) usually spend their time trying to rid of their fears, and take regular classes to keep up with schoolwork. They most likely were rescued by the people who do have the gift to see other nightmares. They most likely won't be a big part of this role play, but if you'd like to make a couple (ONE OR TWO) It'd be okay. Just make sure to boldly state that they don't have the gift. These children don't have dream partners.
~Those that have the talent to see others nightmares (Nicknamed: Sleep Walkers) take regular classes, but also have fighting classes, nightmare preparation classes, and team strengthening classes, along with weights and athletics. Also, they have the special pairing ceremony where they meet their dream partner. They also get a lot of pardons from class to go save the world. The Regular's take the core classes with them (Math, Reading, Social Studies, etc.)
Each Human and Dream Pairing is given a specific color to identify that they are together. When you fill out the form, you don't have to fill in that space. Once the ceremony is done your character will receive a partner and team color.
But they knew the children couldn't do it alone.
They developed a system where each child is paired up with a being called a Dream.

MY PARTNER IS A DREAM
(The Dreams)
Dreams are human-like entities that are also made physical by the dark paranoia.
They are created by the Blunt's, put together like artificial children, but they don't have a lot of control over how the dreams turn out, so their all different. They are designed to assist the kids in defeating the Deep Paranoia itself. Sadly, if they do, the dreams might go away also, so right now they're trying to find a way to stop that from happening. In other words, the Dream's are helping destroy the Deep Paranoia, also sacrificing themselves.
Each dream is assigned to a specific child. Some pairs work out and some pairs take a while to like each other.
They work together in an odd way. The dream actually goes into the kid, morphing their two bodies together which makes their appearances come together and find the medium between them. Through that the children get the power to go into the dream realm, where they can touch the monsters. Their power combined gives them a certain advantage, whether it is speed, strength, agility, luck, or any other form of power. Usually the weaker kids get traits like speed, strength or agility, while the ones who fight for themselves get more adding traits like luck.
Dreams do look like humans, but can have unnatural colors to their hair and eyes, and small traits that don't fit humans. They are known for their beauty and their ability to cast their partners into the dream realm, which brings us to that.
